Bombing of Dresden in 1945Was the bombing of Dresden on 13 Februay 1945 a military necessity or war against civilians? Sixty years of the the bombing, the historian Frederick Taylor (author of Dresden, Tuesday February 13, 1945, 2004) and writer Jörg Friedrich (Der Brand: Deutschland im Bombenkrieg, 2002) address this question with Ben Knapen, historian and former Editor in Chief of NRC Handelsblad.
