Bio-scetches:
- Drs. Joost Tennekes, works at the University of Twente, expects to get his PhD this year on a comparative study of interpretations of the concept ´governance´.
- Dr. Sandra Sjoukje Volbeda, staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, currently works as executive secretary European Integration of the Advisory Council International Affairs (AIV) in the Netherlands. Prior to this she had joined the World Bank in 2002 as co-manager of the Community Empowerment and Social Inclusion programme of the World Bank Institute and has set up a program for capacity building of local government associations for the Institute. Earlier she worked for the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Development Cooperation and held a number of research positions in policy sciences, public administration and technology in several universities.

- Dr. Martin Doornbos recently retired as a professor at the Institute of Social Studies. Did publicise much, especially on 'governance' (the ISS documentation system recorded 94 titles).
The event will take place on Friday April 22, 14.30 - 17.30 hours at Institute of Social Studies, Kortenaerkade 12, The Hague. The Mini-Seminar will also be open to non-members.
