Lecture 'McWorld vs Civ World' by Benjamin Barber

The American political scientist and writer Benjamin Barber will be giving the 5th Globalisation Lecture in Felix Meritis, Amsterdam on the 8th of January.

Barber is known for his bestseller 'Jihad vs McWorld', an analysis - long before the 9/11 attacks - of the conflicting powers of globalisation and cultural and religious fanaticism. The lecture will be followed by a debate with Frits Bolkestein (European Commission). The television program ‘McWorld’ - an episode of VPRO’s Diogenes (1997) - will be shown before the lecture.

Time: 19:00
Venue: Felix Meritis, Keizersgracht 324, Amsterdam.
